CAN I CLEAN MY SCULPTURE IN THE DISHWASHER?
Big no no!!! Please do not wash any decorative bowls or sculpture in the dishwasher. It cannot be cleaned in the same way as your favorite ceramic mug or dinnerware.
The best way to clean your sculpture is to wipe it gently with a very soft cloth or small gentle duster. If you need to spot clean it: place a small amount of warm water on a q-tip (or a small piece of very soft cloth) and gently dab the affected area. Use a dry q-tip (or small soft dry cloth) to pat the area dry. Please keep in mind, ceramic art is fragile and should always be handled with care.
MY TODDLER / CAT / HUSBAND KNOCKED OVER MY SCULPTURE AND BROKE IT. CAN YOU FIX IT?
Ack! It’s tragic when that happens (I’ve had pieces broken too and understand how devastating it is…) Unfortunately ceramic restoration is a completely different field than sculptural ceramics, and has its own specialists and processes. Restoration is not something this studio is equipped to do. However, feel free to reach out and mention what happened. I may be able to point you in the direction of someone in your area who can be of help.
